This was a really good movie, in my opinion...I only got it the second time I watched it. Before that, I didn't get the plot at all. LOL. It was an awesome movie though.
I liked Borden better because of the twin thing. He sacrificed so much...the Scarlett Johnanssen girl (whatever her name is in the movie), his wife (sarah), his daughter, having half a life, and his FINGER (ouch!). But he still remained victorious in the end.
Well actually, I'm not too sure about him being victorious...the voice over guy said something about how we wanted to be fooled when the camera focused on one of Angier's dead bodies.

Oh, Keyodie, you're my hero, simply for creating this thread. The Prestige is officially my new obsession, actually.
I also liked the Bordens better, simply because of the sacrifices, and the tragedy behind the two. A heart wrenching line for me... "Do you love me?" "Not today."

I haven't seen this. My mom and sister have seen this. I want to see it. I want very much to see it--it looks so cool.

Magicians, not necessarily Mages, from what I've heard. It sounds like you have a fun teacher--I love getting my teachers to discuss un-class-related things in our class time.

Oh yeah, that was a heart-wrenching line for sure.
Do you know what happened at the end, though? About how the guy with the voiceover said something about how we want to be fooled, and the camera showed one of Angier's "dead" bodies...creepy.

I loved it. That movie was exactly up my alley. It's my new obsession, and since it's come out on DVD, I've only watched it three times, and I'm sad.
Christian Bale definitely out-shone Hugh Jackman though, and I was thoroughly surprised.

Well....why? Christian Bale is definitely cooler than Hugh Jackman. But I haven't seen the movie, so I really shouldn't be commenting.

I actually really liked Hugh Jackman when I watched the movie, way more than Christian Bale, simply because I hadn't really Christian in many films, and I thought Hugh Jackman was hotter, but there's something about Christian that has me fluttered. Amazing.
And after watching the Prestige for the 4th time in three days I finally realized that Angier killed one of his clones every night. Which I didn't figure out, because I'm apparently not that bright. I actually found a lot of things I didn't notice before.
