Well, since LDM hasn't made a RL game board, I'm just gonna make a topic here. What are your favorite games (genres and specific games), and why? My favorite Genre overall is either RTS (Real-Time Strategy) or FPS (First Person Shooter). Probably FPS, since there are more good games in that genre than in RTS. My favorite games would be Halo 2, Battlefield 1942 (DCX9 Mod , The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II, and, at this point, Praetorians, which you probably have never heard of. It's another RTS game, in a style which I like. And then there are games that I want to play, such as Assassin's Creed, and the soon-to-be-released Halo 3. I want to play that game soooooo badly.

I've played Rome: Total War for all of ten minutes on my friend's computer. And Medieval: Total War for closer to an hour. Does that count? It was fun. I really really really want to play Assassin's Creed. Just the name sounds cool.

i KNOW! i wanna be the evil prince... heh typical of me... just like i killed people randomly in towns and guards and travelors and traders in Fable just to be evil and it had a lot incentive:being evil earns you at least 20,000 more gold in the long run... i was so mad when i love a bar of my evilness and h ad to kill 200 ppl to get it back... just cause i did a required stupid goody goody quest...

I don't play a lot of video games...and when I do, they're things like Paper Mario and Super Smash Bros for N64. But I really like Third Age And I want to get a nice PSP game, because we got a PSP for Christmas but the only game we have is a horrible hockey one that my brother loves and I hate I was thinking I might get the RotK or DMC game. I think my favorite genre is probably Strategy...it requires less sleight of hand and more brainpower I'm actually more of a board game person - I really like Risk and Settlers of Catan and Monopoly (I have the LotR edition ) and Blokus to a degree. Well, I like it when I win at Blokus

Heh. I hate Monopoly. Settlers of Catan I've only played once, but it was interesting. Risk, on the other hand, rocks. I have never played a game that's lasted less than four hours, so it's definitely the game of choice for using up time.

I'm too poor to buy PC games with my own allowance, but I do hang around the games section and daydream. Only RTS I've done are Disciples and Age of Empires. I've played a few MMORPG, not the least of which is Runescape which really does suck but hey it's free. Guild Wars was all right too before I quit for Dungeon Siege II. Group style rpgs are currently my favorite. I'm dying to play Fable, which is languishing away its time in my desk drawer, but I vowed to finish DS II first. Due my internet distractions such as posting on this forum , it looks like I'll beat it next Christmas. Most entertaining by far has been Baldur's Gate, not for the game itself but for the fact that my moon elf makes funny noises when he jumps.

I was into Puzzle Pirates (an MMORPG) for a long time befire my interest waned. I get obsessed easily.
Hehe, I played Risk this afternoon. I privately think I would have won if we'd decided to keep going after all of us were out but two, but I was bored, so we didn't.

Lol, Ven. And here I thought Raist spent her time thinking of ways to threaten Melda and I if we forget to post in Star Crystal. And as I said, I haven't played Fable, but my friend has it and he showed it off to me. It looks sweet, and I want it.

^that's "Melda and ME," ya you-didn't-spell-blossom-right-my-life-is-over freak. All Fable does for Venny is escalate her already sky high ego. I've sat beside her and listened to her dainty little death threats to whoever innocent villager even glances her way. Not pretty. Oh, and did I mention her interesting obsession with abducting ugly village maidens. ;D

No, LDM's right, it's 'Melda and me'. Because (I quote) "And here I thought Raist spent her time thinking of ways to threaten Melda and I if we forget to post in Star Crystal." If it was only "And here I thought Raist spent her time thinking of ways to threaten I if I forget to post in Star Crystal" that wouldn't make sense, but if it was "And here I thought Raist spent her time thinking of ways to threaten me if I forget to post in Star Crystal" it would. So it's "Melda and me."
And as an aside, I'm offended that you think I would EVER forget Star Crystal. Heck, I fall asleep pondering that thing. Every time I get online I whiz off to Star Crystal. If there's posting to be done, Melda will do it.
