OOC:::Original companions as in... before Goldmoon and Riverwind, when Kitiara and Tanis were 'dating?'

Before War of the Lance so that would be it, Kitiara. But really you can take any character, as this is at best an informal rpg with no rational plot whatsoever.

It's not like I'm a DL expert or anything, but I think I picked up most of the basics from Dragons of Autumn Twilight, so if nobody minds I'll play Laurana I think I can probably do her passably well...

[oxymoron, my friend. refer to the list of characters I posted on A-U if you have trouble choosing, or make your own character. and keep in mind that this isn't a serious rpg, so your posts don't entirely have to be within the laws of physics/magic. also, Raistlin hasn't taken his test yet so he looks like a normal human being (brown hair, blue eyes) with minor health issues. ] This was unbelievable. This was inconceivable. This was outrageous. Raistlin wanted to whack someone with his staff. He wanted to bang his head against the nearest tree. He wanted to ride a dragon to Lunitari and ask why, why, why he had to be the one cursed to travel with this inane horde of imbeciles he called his friends. "Look, Raist. Bunnies!" There was Caramon, shadow puppets and all against Solinari's silver light. Raistlin groaned. I rest my case. Some merciful god strike me dead now before I - And he tripped over a tree root in the midst of his manic pacing. Righting himself with a colorful oath, he glared at the offending tree - nay, at all the trees in general in this thrice-cursed forest. Thrice-cursed forest indeed! How was he supposed to know that the White Robe detested toothpaste? No, all he'd done was hand the toothpaste over, and look where it'd landed them! He turned to the horde of imbeciles he called friends and asked caustically, "Does anyone here know where in the abyss we happen to be?" "I do!" piped an alarmingly shrill voice at his elbow. Raistlin turned to confront his single worst nightmare. And now, it was not Tasslehoff Burrfoot, but a kender distinguishable from Tas only by his mass of scarlet hair. "You're in Kendermore," the kender said helpfully. Noting the Red Robe's piercing glare, he quickly extracted the spell pouch from behind his back and proferred it. "By the way, I think you dropped this."

"Didn't you take it out of his pocket a while back?" inquired Laurana with a bemused look, rather slow on the uptake. In another moment she seemed to have realized that this was likely not the most tactful thing to say and subsided into apologetic silence. 'Adaptable' did not at this point describe her, as she was bewildered that everything she said seemed to either provoke Raistlin to apathy or annoyance. She hadn't yet grasped that this was his general reaction to everything.

What had made her agree to come on this journey? It would have been laughable, if she hadn't wanted to kill someone. Kendermore? Tas was more than enough to deal with, but now here she was.
Kitiara shook her head at Laurana's stupidity. Kitiara had never liked Laurana, for two reasons--one, she was absolutely head over heels for Tanis, and two, she wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the bunch.
Kitiara looked to her brother Raistlin, and saw he felt the same way. Caramon of course, her oaf of a brother, was smiling. Kitiara checked her pockets, and to her dismay, she felt several things missing. Perfect. She had been in Kendermore only a few moments, and she had already been pickpocketed. Heads would roll. She would have to check Tas's pockets later... but for now...
"Can we just find this...minotaur and get out of here?"

"Minotaur?" piped the kender, who frowned slightly at both half-siblings' less than impressed glares. An instant later the slight lay forgotten, and he brightened again. "My name is Thogretor Muffinspout, nice to meet you." He held out his hand.
Raistlin stared at it blankly.
A frown line tugged at Muffinspout's brow as he emphatically shook his own hand. "Minotaur? I have a minotaur friend who's very anti... antiserious... antisoapy..."
"Antisocial?" Raistlin snapped with another glare of his piercing cobalt eyes.
Muffinspout snapped his fingers. "That's it! Follow me." Smiling encouragingly, he flipped his topknot and scampered off into the forest.
The poor Red Robe ground his teeth and followed. Not that he had a choice. But he did make a point to glare at his companions in general - especially Laurana, who'd borrowed his pet rock that morning and never gave it back. Feeling sorry for himself, he shuffled over to Kitiara. "Have you ever been to Kendermore?" he hissed out of the corner of his mouth.

He was glaring again! What, what, had she done this time? Laurana helplessly and unobtrusively looked herself over. No armor in the wrong spots - she'd done that - and no saddlebags askew - she'd done that too - so what in the name of this cursed minotaur was making that infuriating mage glare so?
Laurana wondered if things could get any more depressing. Why did Kitiara have to come, anyway? Insufferable...thought she knew everything...Laurana drew herself up with an inward sigh.

[I'm joining as Fizban.]
Fizban, leaning heavily on his staff, limped his way towards a place he always like to visit: Kendermore. "Such a lovely place." he mumbled to himself. "The little kender children are so nice. I have yet to figure out why they circle around me constantly. Where did I put that bat wing I collected long ago? Perhaps the kender will know where it went... Oh, I am rather hungry. Not to worry, old man. With so many McDonalds around these days, not even a three toed sloth can get hungry. My, what strange animals. They have such sharp teeth. Oh no, I just remembered! The latest issue of American Girl Magazine came out last week...you stupid, forgetful fool, why havn't you gotten it yet? Oh, look at the shape of that leaf, isn't that lovely... Oh, pickels. Now what was my name again? Frying Pan? Fiddlesticks? Fizzle? Fiz..."
Suddenly, the old wizard stopped his constant mumbling as he heard noise in the distance.
"I have a minotaur friend who's very anti... antiserious... antisoapy..."
Fizban quickened his pace as he recognized the voice as one belonging to a kender. "I must be close!" he reported to himself.
When he reached the spot, there was no one present. He frowned in frustration.
"Peanuts! I remember that voice being exactly at this spot...Oh!" He looked up the path and found a group of companions just inside of his sight-range. He hurried to catch up.
"Lovely morning, isn't it?" he said rather randomly when he reached the group. Being the strange individual he was, he managed to travel through the woods so quiet that none of them had noticed the old wizard yet.
